Earth Day Cleanup
Thanks to a few dedicated volunteers and Cub Scout Pack 50, CFP had a successful Earth Day cleanup on Saturday, April 26. According to Mil Kinsella, Coordinator, well over 50 "nip" bottles were cleared from around the RR bridge entryway and along Massasoit Ave. Pack 50 cleaned from the Hall all the way to down to Easton and pulled a sink,a tire,a chair out of the muck.

EARTH DAY on COMMON FENCE POINT

CFPIA is sponsoring an Earth Day neighborhood cleanup for the 25th year. On April 26, Saturday, from 12-3, all who take pride in keeping the earth clear of litter will gather at the Community Hall to sign up for an area to spruce up and delitter.
All volunteers are encouraged to bring your own tools(gloves, big brown paper bags, and rakes to pull the trash out of the bushes) . This is primarily a roadside, playground ,and small inland parks effort. Beaches can be included, as long as the "collections" are hauled to one of the perimeter roads(Common Fence Blvd,Anthony Rd, Mass Blvd, etc). The Portsmouth DPW has agreed to pick the trash up the following week!
For more information, or to volunteer, contact Mil Kinsella 633-2606 or sterlingmil@cox.net. Donations of water, big brwn bags, and baked goods are always welcome. Unused bags and water donations will be used during future cleanups, such as the CFPIA's participation in the Annual International Coastal Cleanup and Data Survey held Sept 20,2014. So contact Mil if you have a stretch of street you would like to volunteer to clean!! And don t forget to give the police a plate number and car description when you see someone unloading their debris in good old CFP!
