An Evening of Music & Conversation w/ Girish July 24th

We’re very excited to welcome Girish to The Sacred Center while on his East Coast Tour!  His music and instruction has been a direct source of inspiration for many of us here in this yoga community.

Girish is an internationally touring world music artist, teacher, and author. He began his music career as a jazz drummer, spent five years as a monk, returned to music as a session tabla player on more than a hundred world music albums, and for the past twelve years has written, recorded, and performed his own original music and taught Sanskrit mantras and chanting in music festivals and yoga studios all over the world. His seven albums have received critical acclaim from O, The Oprah Magazine, Yoga Journal, and The Guardian, among others. Girish’s book, Music and Mantras, continues Girish’s mission to share the art of meditation through music and mantra with the world.

This will be a gentle, relaxed, educational and inspiring evening where we will hear about his spiritual journey, gain deeper insights into the significance and profound health benefits of mindful singing and chanting … and of course, we will enjoy his heart-melting music. So, come dip your toes in these musical waters originating from the yogic tradition and discover why group chanting and Kirtan has become part of our regular offerings here at The Sacred Center.

Tickets are available on The Sacred Center Eventbrite page for $35.

If the ticket price is beyond your means please reach out to Rev Shelley Dungan to reserve one of our donation-priced seats.
